Thoughts on this hull design?

Thoughts on if this would work in racing conditions? I just wish we could see the bottom.....

Could work. I have seen a video of it running. Quite fast and seems to turn well. Cool design.

I think both orgs. would frown on a wing on a tunnel boat

Maybe the rules have changed, but people use to run wings on tunnels all the time in the 80s.

We need a like button,that old tunnel rocks. Short skeg wont hardly turn

IMPBA has no restrictions other than two sponsons that form a tunnel. Boat could look like a box or a lawn dart as long as it has the sponsons and the tunnel.

 

NAMBA has restrictions on the number of longitudinal 'strakes' and the size of steps if they are used. 

 

Only thing a horizontal wing is not allowed on is a mono. Years ago there was a guy in the Orlando club that had a mono painted like a shark. Even had a dorsal fin glued on the deck. Not illegal. A fin is not a wing.
