Hey Doc, yes I have used it on several boats. It works well, but doesn't have as big adjustment range as the OS. In other words you have to get the mixture pretty close with the manual needle and them you can fine tune it with the remote.

I love Novarossi engines, but the O.S. is much better in my opinion. When I ran the NR needle on my .46 rigger, I had problems with the mixture running consistent. Switched to O.S. and Ferrette base and all is better now. I also did not like the fact that the NR needles are stiff to move.

CMB needles suck too..... My opinion anyways.

Bob Violet olso...great mixture control

Every CMB needle I have had fluctuates if you tap on it very lightly, so the motor vibration makes them go crazy.

NR mixture remote is very good but servo mini( look like Hetici HS-81 to 85 ) will burn " toaster" out If you get good strong servo mini Good luck!

Hi Doc, Are you looking for this needle for the TOPS 12 engine? Mike and I are having fits keeping a consistent needle setting on our Tops 12 3-port. The needle setting range is so small that the engine will run fine one time and then the next time out the engine barely runs. One click on the needle is all it takes to be on or off. We are not the only ones experiencing this problem. We have tried various remote needles with the same result. The size of the 12 hulls really limits putting in an adjustable needle plus the added weight of the servo. May have to go to this if the problem continues. We are going to make some changer to the carb and have a recommendation for an OS remote needle to try. Also considering increasing tank pressure. Any thoughts on this?

I was going to use the Nova needle on the DD 21. It seems to be precise, a fair amount of movement with slight change in flow

Im putting one on a AA powered mono. Really to me one a mono I only need a fine adjustment to comp for the weather changes. On a rigger I like to launch real rich and then lean down. I added some oil to the seal and it moves easily now.

Hi Doc, I had heard rumors that you were running a 12 hydro. I still have hopes that someone will have words of wisdom for me on the 12 engine.

I agree with you. That is why I carry Bob Violet needles in stock.
